When in Munich…

When you are in Munich in the beginning of September you kind of get the feeling of being there just a little to early. The Oktoberfest starts (very much against its’ name) in the end of September. You can see that stores are preparing for the big party as all shop windows already are filling with the traditional Dirndl dresses and leather trousers which are worn by young and old in the party tent on the Wiesn’ were it all takes place.
So when I was in Munich on September 1 we went to the small town of Erding (about 35000 inhabitants)  instead to get some of that  Oktoberfest feeling. Their largest beer tent at least has some 3000 seats also!
