I wrote about my wonderful dinner at restaurant Clou some months ago and I was sure to come back here. This time we booked the adjoining wine bar which is less formal with its’ long wooden tables and benches and a tapas inspired menu. Actually we could also choose the menu of the restaurant but we decided to try some dishes from the wine bar menu. Crab, mussels and cheese, all accompanied with the loveliest choice of wines.
The service in the wine bar is just as knowledgable and professional as in the restaurant. All I could wish from this restaurant is that they would move to less cold premises. I mean that figuratively speaking because the rooms are very straight forward with no nice decoration which is unusual for Copenhagen (e.g. restaurant Höst has big plants in the main room which makes you feel like sitting in a light birch tree forest) but also because you are entering directly into the restaurant from the street which actually makes it cold in these months.
