The march from the metro station to the Long March Canteen felt long but only because we were starving.
I spent a weekend in Berlin lately and on our first night browsing for at good eat we read about this Chinese place in the Kreuzberg area and decided to try it out. I am so happy we did!
Serving only small dim sum sized dishes this modern Chinese restaurant is a really cool place with a vibrant atmosphere. Tables inside and outside on this warm summer evening, often shared between several parties.
Dishes come flying out from the kitchen one at a time, so sharing with your friends is a really good idea if you don’t want to risk having to wait.
Beef with coriander soy sauce, codfish in brown bean sauce with spring onions.
Dumplings with beef and with lamb, spring rolls with entrecôte and sweet potatoes.
If you cannot get a table at Long March Canteen you can try one of the other restaurants by the same owners: Yumcha Heroes in Prenzlauer Berg or the more upscale Soya Cosplay in MItte.
I will have to try those next time I am in Berlin.
